Besides shops and restaurants, the center also includes rental apartments, condos, and offices. Fun place to shop, take a stroll, eat great food, and/or watch a movie.

Dreher Park Zoo -- 1301 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach. 561 533-0887 or 561-547-9453 (recorded message). This 23 acre zoo houses more than 500 different animals, including several endangered species, and a unique reptile exhibit. Open: Daily, 9a-5p (last admission: 4:30p).

Henry Morrison Flagler Museum -- Coconut Row, Palm Beach. 561-655-2833. Henry Flagler, co-founder of Standard Oil, also built the railroad that would link Jacksonville and Key West. The museum features a house restored to turn-of-the-century condition and displaying many original furnishings. Open: Tues-Sat: 10a-5p; Sun: noon-5p.

Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts -- 701 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida. 561-833-8300. This beautiful center opened in 1992 and features a large curved glass facade housing three different performance areas featuring over 300 musical, theatrical, and dance performances a year. Lion Country Safari -- Southernmost Blvd. West, West Palm Beach. 561-793-1084. Over 1,300 animals from around the world reside in this 500 acre game preserve. This drive through experience allows a first hand view of the protected breeding grounds for a variety of endangered species. Picnics, an adjacent amusement park, and camping are also featured. Open: Daily: 9:30a-5:30p (last vehicle may enter at 4:30p).

Norton Gallery of Art -- 1451 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach. 561- 832-5194. The gallery houses. a collection of French impressionist and post-impressionist era paintings, as well as well-known works of American and Chinese origin. Call for special events and exhibits. Open: Tues-Sat: 10a-5p; Sun: 1p-5p.

The Rapids Golf, Slide, and Bankshot -- Military Trail, north of 45th Street, West Palm Beach. 561-842-8756. Open March through September, this family entertainment attraction features four water slides, an artificial rive, large Jacuzzi, dozens of waterfalls, game room, and 19 hole miniature golf course. Open: daily: 10a-8p; Closed Oct-Feb.

Society of the Four Arts -- Four Arts Plaza, Palm Beach. 561-655 7226. Cultural complex includes museum, library, and auditorium. Enjoy monthly changing art exhibits, and regularly scheduled concerts, lectures, and special movies. Also features walk through gardens. Open: Mon-Sat: 10a-5p; Sun: 2p-5p. Closed May-Nov.

South Florida Science Center and Aquarium -- 4801 Dreher Trail N., West Palm Beach. 561-832-1988. Hands-on exhibits teach about natural phenomena and physics. Featuring an observatory, planetarium, and aquarium with a variety of marine species in several tanks, and laser light shows on weekends. Open: Museum: Sat-Thurs: 10a-5p, Fri: 10a-10p; planetarium: shows Mon-Thurs at 2p, Fri at 2p and 7p, Sat-Sun at noon and 2p; Observatory: Fri: 8p-10p, weather permitting.

Star of Palm Beach -- 900 East Blue Heron Blvd., SInger Island. 561-848-7827. Cruise along the intracoastal waterway on a water tour of Palm Beach. Enjoy daily sightseeing trips as well as breakfast, lunch, dinner, and theme cruises.

Palm Beach Municipal Beach -- A1A, south of Royal Park Bridge in West Palm Beach. Small and undeveloped.

Phipps Ocean Park -- Ocean Blvd. between Southern Blvd. and Lake Avenue causeways. Large and well-groomed, with picnic and recreation areas.

Palm Beach Bicycle Trail Shop -- 223 Sunrise Avenue. 561-659 4583. Palm Beach is an excellent area for biking, and this shop will rent bikes

Palm Beach Public Golf Course -- 2345 South Ocean Blvd. 561 547-0598. This public 18 hole course with par-54 and greens between 100 and 235 yards from the tee. Run on a first-come, first-serve basis, the course opens at 8a.

Currie Park -- 2400 North Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach. 561 835-7025. Public park with three lighted courts. No charge.
